The month of love came with joy and happiness for two lucky winners who won big at the unveiling of the latest edition of the HONOR X9d 5G at the Pavilion Shopping Mall on Saturday.
The winners walked away with a R5,000 shopping voucher, R5,000 cheque, and a brand new HONOR X9d 5G cellphone worth around R9,999 to R11,499 for the outright cash purchase in South Africa as of February 2026.
Speaking to Credible Source, Simphiwe Mbhele, who walked away with massive prizes, said he was over the moon as he wasn’t expecting to win.
“I don’t know how I can explain the feeling of winning this phone, but I am happy. HONOR should continue with such initiatives, and we will also tell others about this phone that I did not know, but now I know,” said Mbhele.
Asanda Thusi, who also walked away with a R5 000 shopping voucher, R5 000 cheque, and an HONOR X9d 5G cellphone, said she wasn’t okay during the morning, but then she saw the event and people winning and went there to see.
“I won the cellphone and flowers. Who knows, maybe I wasn’t going to get them since it’s Valentine’s Day, and also since I’m a student and it’s January and February, finances are not good. With the voucher, I will go shopping because NSFAS usually takes a long time,” said Thusi.
Regional Manager for HONOR in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN), Tashan Subramoney, said the HONOR X9d 5G is the best durable device that they have launched at HONOR and it has taken the market by storm.
